Disney on Ice – Mickey and Friends⎪Mickey Mouse is joined by Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy on a journey to discover his favorite memory of all time. Using Mickey’s “Mouse Pad,” show hosts encourage fans to be part of the action and help the gang venture though Disney stories, sharing memorable moments from treasured tales. Along the way, families sail away with Moana as she displays courage to save her island on a high-seas adventure with the demigod, Maui. Families will continue the journey to the wintry world of Arendelle as royal sisters Anna and Elsa discover true love is the most powerful magic of all and experience the mysterious magic of Fantasia as a Sorcerer’s Apprentice makes brooms come to life. “Live Your Story” alongside Disney Princesses as they use perseverance, determination and hard work to inspire Mickey and children around the world to share their favorite Disney memories. Yoga in the Museum⎪Join for Yoga in the Museum at the Gregory Allicar Museum of Art! This free, hour-long Vinyasa flow yoga class will be held in GAMA’s Griffin Foundation Gallery, surrounded by art from the exhibition Glorioserías: The Body in Late Twentieth Century Mexican Art. Yoga in the Museum participants are welcome to stay and enjoy the museum after class, including current exhibitions Black Art at CSU: Building a Presence, Dead & Lost in Detroit: A Graphic Novel by Carl Wilson, and Survivance. Participants should bring their own mat. No other equipment is needed, though you are welcome to bring a blanket or blocks. Water is not allowed in the galleries but may be stored in the lobby for after class. Free and appropriate for all experience levels! REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Sessions limited to 20 participants. Slow Art Day 2022⎪Join the Gregory Allicar Museum of Art for Slow Art Day 2022, a global event that celebrates looking at and loving art! Slow Art Day is an annual event held on the first Saturday in April that invites visitors to look at specific works for ten minutes each. Participants are then encouraged to meet and discuss their experience. It’s that simple!This global movement was created in 2010 by Phyl Terry, founder of the Reading Odyssey and founder and CEO of Collaborative Gain, and their colleagues in Brooklyn, New York. 10am-6pm. Acrylic Pouring Clock Workshop⎪Come make your own one-of-a-kind fluid art clock with the help of Fort Collins artists Carolyn Snyder, owner of Pour Decor, and Sarah Sypian.
Stop by Loveland Aleworks to learn fluid art techniques and create your own clock, which you will make by pouring on a vinyl record! Ticket cost is $55, which includes everything you need to make your own clock (including the clock mechanism kit) and a beer or beverage of your choice (of an equal or lesser value)! Additional clocks can be made for $25 per clock.
