Just like our own health, our environment needs to be taken care of to thrive. As Earth Day approaches on April 22nd, think about all the things we have to be thankful for, like sunshine to bask in, trails to hike, and trees to climb. So, this year, we want to encourage you to give back to Mother Earth by cleaning up your local area!

Ashes to Art beer Launch and meet & greet⎪Thursday, April 22, 5:30-7:30pm. Please join us this Earth Day to raise money for and thank some of the volunteer firefighters who fought the Cameron Peak Fire of 2020 and to admire the works of some of the artists involved in the Ashes to Art Project. Artists from all 50 states have used charcoal from the fire and turned it and other materials into their own amazing works of art. These pieces will be auctioned off online from May 10-15. You can see the art here and all proceeds will be donated to the Poudre Canyon Fire District and the Rist Canyon Volunteer Firefighters.
Horse and Dragon has created a Fireweed Honey Kolsch-style Ale as a part of this fundraiser, and will be launching the beer at 5:30 pm. It will remain on tap until the batch is gone. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this beer will be donated to support these two volunteer firefighter groups. Alison Koziol suggested incorporating fireweed, which is a flowering plant that is one of the first to repopulate an area after a wildfire. Tanner located a Colorado source for fireweed honey, and added it to a light Kölsch-style base in 3V5, our pilot system, to make this small-batch release. Artists’ work featured in this event. Horse and Dragon Brewery, 200 Mathews Street, Fort Collins, CO
